Am I Eligible for Care at the Health Center? Yes. Everyone is welcome at the Squirrel Hill Health Center. The Center is open to everyone who seeks top quality primary care. As a federally qualified health center, SHHC serves those who are deemed to be "medically underserved" or disadvantaged when it comes to acquiring care. We accept all major forms of private health insurance, Medicare, Medical Assistance and have an income based sliding fee scale for those without insurance. The health center does not discriminate based on religious beliefs, race, gender, ethnicity, age, physical disability, or ability to pay. We have made it our special mission to embrace and serve all people. The SHHC offers care for children of all ages, but everyone under 18 must have the consent of a parent or guardian.
